I have to leave a review for this because I love it so much. I am personally a fan of the Overland Sheep Company. I have purchased a number of different items from them over the years and they have all been five star quality. The wool is VERY soft, still on the skin (there are "sheepskin" products out there that are just wool woven into a polyester backing,) and is a good size. You actually also get a pet hair brush along with it to maintain it's smooth appearance & prevent matting. The directions also say you can throw it in the washing machine if needed (use a proper wool soap like euclan.)I bought this for the bottom of my newborn daughter's bassinet as the foam pad that came with it was very thin and noisy, keeping her awake not only because of sound, but because there was no insulation to help keep her warm. The first night on it we had no problems with her waking from cold. She still sleeps on it and is now one year old. She loves it too. I tried taking it out of her crib, and that night she wouldn't stay asleep. I put it back in and she snuggled down immediately and slept like a rock.When she was still itsy bitsy and not moving around too much, we also used this for tummy time on the floor.If you are debating on this or something else, I say GET THIS!!! I have had absolutely no disappointments. I love it.
