Cross solid sterling silver Tennis Hall of Fame fountain pen

This is really an amazing solid pen full of class and character.Some would consider the Swarovski crystal as unnecessary but I get used to it as I write without posting the cap! The rhodium plated 18k solid gold nib is brilliant, literally, it writes a treat with consistently good ink flow. Writings are like high quality print, it is that good! The balance of the solid silver barrel and cap is perfect and they snap close perfectly with no gap. Overall it is definitely better than the regular Townsend sterling silver and on a par with my Lucky Eight Parker Duofold. Incidently, it writes more like a fine point rather than a medium point,as it is, when compare to both the Duofold and the Townsend. This China made Cross is a real gem!

Excellent hearing protection, missing simple cable

These hearing protectors are excellent devices for shooting. They provide a stereo sound-view of the world around you while keeping any loud sounds from affecting you. They are quite comfortable (though I have yet to wear them for long stretchs it seems like they would be fine over an afternoon). They are 1000% better than my previous hearing protectors, which were not electronic (I wouldn't go back).The only thing that is annoying is that they advertise an "Audio jack" for "cell phones, MP3 players or dog trackers" but it is a completely non-standard (and mono, not stereo) port on the device, and the audio cable is not included. The audio cable is very simple (costing less than $0.50 to make, is my guess) and I found it selling from $22 to $40. What a crock. I'll have to check at Radio Shack to see if I can get a compatible cable for a reasonable price.For shooting I can't actually imagine using this connected to an MP3 player as I usually want to know what's going on around me. However, I can think of other uses for this muff where I might want music as well (mowing the lawn, using a leaf blower, etc.), but not badly enough to pay another $22.Peltor: Include a cable in the next version, or better yet use a standard 3.5mm mini stereo plug and provide or sell an adapter to the "old" two-prong plug!

Great sound protection

These are excellent hearing protectors that allow you to hear ambient sound. They fit well, provide sufficient protection, and seem to respond quickly to sharp sonic spikes, like gunfire. I have no problem with them from a purely functional perspective. However, if Peltor is going to go ahead and advertise that you can hook up your MP3 player to them, it would be nice if they mentioned that all the music you'll hear will be in mono, not stereo. It's a great feature - I just wonder why they couldn't take it the simple one-step-further and give us good audio. Probably in the next release....

Bought the item from Amazon for a pretty good price after having checked other online sources. Beware that this item is not recommended for shooting at an indoor range. An indoor range is much louder than shooting outside. The protection for your hearing is minimal relative to some non-electronic muffs that I have. Its NRR is 20 which is very low end. The fact that one can hear voices and such is true and the microchip is very consistent and reliable for low level sounds. But indoors it feels like barely any protection is being worn. Also, the circumference of the ear muff is not that big, therefore it you have larger than average ears: problem.

GREAT workout for casual riders + easy setup

I'm writing this review after 2 weeks of using this bike trainer. I purchased it along with the 8 dollar Sunlite Forza bike riser to keep the front tires straight and level with the raised rear, it's just a piece of plastic but it serves its purpose.Color received was exactly as pictured, the cheerful white and yellow-orange color with SUNLITE lettering on the trainer frame. The bike trainer was easy to setup even with the generic manual. No tools needed. You basically unfold the frame (folds flat for storage), grab your bike and swap out the rear tire quick-release lever/rod with the silver one that is provided with the trainer (it fit over my bikes regular quick-release knobs, but I swapped it out anyways to test with the same result). If your rear tire doesn't have a quick-release lever there's a converter you can purchase separately. You then line up both sides of the bikes quick-release knobs with the trainers axle knobs and hand twist-tighten until secure. You do the same with a rear knob on the resistance roller, tightening it until it's snug against your tire. It took about 15 minutes to setup, and the bike felt very secure and was ready to ride.IMPORTANT: Knobby tires causes additional noise and vibration on all bike trainers. If you have a nice slick road tire this unit will be quiet. I have a mountain bike with knobby tires, so it is currently not quiet. It makes a constant whirrr whirrrr whirrrrr noise against the roller, you learn to tune out the noise after a while but it's enough to wake somebody up if they are within 50 feet. If you use a headset or watch t.v. while riding you'll block out the noise, if I had to compare the noise level to something I'd say a hand mixer on a low setting. If you want a quiet trainer grab a spare bike tire that is smooth. Giving this 5 stars because it was easy to setup and gives a great workout for winter fat. I won't deduct a star for noise since it can be corrected with a tire change.I would buy this stationary trainer again, and recommend it to other friends who are casual riders of 2-25 miles a day. If you are a hardcore biker that requires a more intense workout you might want to consider bike rollers instead where you also have to practice balance (and practice falling off a bike in your house). :)

Fantastic!

I ordered the Forza bike trainer, with great trepidation. I had heard bike trainers were noisy, problems to put together, etc. This Forza trainer was and is fantastic. Resistance is excellent with changing gears. It was simple to put together and makes NO NOISE. All the other trainers I had reviewed complained about the noise level. There just isn't one on this trainer. It is not expensive, I received in 5 days and am totally impressed. Thank you!

Works perfectly; pass on package recommendation though.

The F2 MAG Trainer was simple to set up and works perfectly. I also purchased the small plastic piece that holds the front tire in place and raises the front to level with the back. Also works exactly as adverstised. Very happy with these two items that shipped together. Why oh why, though, was the Schwinn bike computer suggested in the three piece package? This computer is designed for the front wheel in actual riding and is pretty useless considering the front wheel never spins in this bike trainer application. The wiring is much too short to allow for a back wheel application and was never intended to be used this way. In fact, it is recommended that the sensor be no more than 1mm from the magnet that attaches to the spoke...probably easy enough accomplish on the front fork, but definately not on the frame that surrounds the back wheel of most bikes. Not only is this computer not appropriate, it ships separately...not a problem in and of itself, but Amazon offered priority shipping for "my order" for only about $9 more. I thought this was a pretty good deal until I came to realize that what I paid extra shipping for was this one useless bike computer. Buy the MAG Trainer...Buy the front wheel holder...Don't buy the Schwinn computer.

Awsome guitar

I'm not one to buy guitars online, I really prefer seeing and hearing an instrument in detail before purchasing. That being said, I couldn't pass up an incredible limited time sale price on this guitar at Amazon. I checked over user ratings at about 5 different websites and was amazed at how positive all the comments were.After owning it for 3 months I couldn't be happier. Great for finger picking, solid with a flat pick, easy to play, even balance of tones and very well built. I bought a $1,300 Taylor from Guitar Center about 6 months ago and returned it because just didn't seem to have much feeling to it. An awesome guitar no doubt, but it just seemed to be missing something, not to mention that it was not good at all for finger picking.This Alvarez is obviously not the same caliber as the Taylor I returned, but I like it much more. I own several guitars from classical to electric, but I would have to say that this Alvarez is the best all around instrument in terms of value and performance. I never thought I would buy a guitar online, but what a surprise.

Nice Axe for the Bucks!

I am a professional musician and an avid guitar collector. I recently added the Alvarez FD60AMB to my collection. It is a well crafted guitar and is visually stunning. Out of the box, the intonation and set up is right on. The electronics and pick-up with on board tuner is exceptional. Although, I am somewhat disappointed with the over all sound. The low end is deep and rich, the mid range is too sharp, and the high end is harsh and thin. The light strings supplied just don't cut through the mix. Replacing them with D'Addario EXP16 coated Phosphor Bronze (12-53) made a considerable difference. Using a DOD Acoustic 1 preamp pedal through a Marshall AS50D acoustic amp solved the problem. For the money, $280, this guitar is a steal, but a little tweaking is necessary!

Great monitor for those on a budget

I recently bought two of these for a gig I had and the monitors I normally used were being repaired, so I needed something quick and inexpensive just to "get me by"For the price, I wasn't really expecting much, but I really was surprised. No, they're not the same quality of my other gear (a mix of JBL Pro, EAW, McCauley and custom made cabinets) but these now have a permanent home as drummer monitors so he can have one on each side of him rather than just the one under his hi-hat... and that frees up the former drummer monitor for use as a side-fill or just a backup.Just a note... these are rated at 120w... in real-life use, I wouldn't put more than 100w through them just to be safe.

best i've ever owned

These glasses are the best I've ever owned. I use them for riding my motorcycle and for law enforcement duties. They keep the wind, dust, etc. out of my eyes very effectively. They also function well as safety glasses on the range. If I happen to be riding my motorcycle after dark, it is simple to change the lenses to the clear ones that come with these glasses. Excellent value for the price.

For the Soldiers, look elsewhere

This is one of the more popular Department of the Army approved ballistic glasses, but they do not hold up in the deployed environment. The lenses scratch very easily. The WileyX metal piece on the side catches on your helmet straps. The black glossy paint flecks away after only two months of use. If you're spending your money on ballistic eye wear, that needs to be able to with stand Iraq or Afghanistan, these are not them.

Same as they were 10 years ago!

I was issued a pair of these when I got to Iraq in 2003. They were a Godsend there when dealing with sand storms, bright sun, and just everyday life. Now, 10 years later, I found myself needing a new pair of shooting glasses that would keep the dust and sun out without fogging up. These were what I thought of. As long as i dont tighten the strap too much, no fog, no dust, no sun. I love em!

Awesome! BUT VERY THIN!

I compared this cymbal so an 18" B8 china, and 16" and 18" ZHT chinas. (check my review for the B8 china for details about that). This china is more responsive and trashier than the B8 one, however, its not as explosive and cutting as the B8. If you play metal or hard rock or just hit hard in general, this china might not be for you. Its very thin... when you hit it you can see it vibrate. Its probably as thin as my B8 splash, but i could be wront. I liked this better than the ZHTs because the ZHTs weren't as trashy, and they were kangier than the B8 china. So that pretty much ruled them out. A ZHT china with an XS20 design would be awesome, but thats a different story. This china would be perfect for softer music, or, if you do play metal, just dont hit it as hard. At a certain point with this, it doesnt matter how hard you hit it, you'll still get the same response, but the harder you hit the more danger your putting it in. Overall though, pretty fricken sweet cymbal.

Adorable likeness from one terrific film

What kid didn't want to put on a chef's apron and hat after watching Linguini Alfredo zip around the kitchen at Gusteau's Restaurant in Paris? This figure is a perfect likeness, speaks lines from the movie, and holds up well to little hands who love to toss around and play. I especially like this version of Linguini since his face is a hard, rubbery plastic, as opposed to other dolls sold here which are plush faced and don't look like the real character at all. Our kids love these toy dolls from Ratatouille, which by the way, is one of the best films to come out for kids (and grown ups too) in a long time. Lots of positive messages of loyalty and friendship throughout.

Great Value, Helps Avoid High SPA Ionic Foot Bath Fees

All these type of machines work on the same principles. This one just costs fraction of others. In salt foot bath, after a while you notice how wrinkled your skin becomes. This machine just does this far better and faster. The belt and extra pads included add even more value. Health SPA I go to charges $35 for 30 minutes of the ionic foot bath. With this machine, no more fees and it is available any time.

I am a licensed acupuncturist, and I highly recommend this product for use as part of a detox regimen, or simply to remain healthy.As evidenced by the nasty residue in the water after a 30 minute treatment, the QLive ionic foot detox does exactly what it says -- rids your body of toxins.I used to work for another acupuncturist, who had shelled out over $1,000 for his ionic foot detox device, and I can honestly say that there is no difference in the end results produced by this device, which is MUCH more affordable.I became a believer in ionic foot cleansing while working for this other acupuncturist. We used it on a ten-year-old girl who had spent the weekend in a friend's pool. After her 30 minute session, I went to dump out the water from the plastic tub we used. Works great in my 07 Prius

I installed this in my 07 Prius about 15 mos ago (today is 5-19-09). Those of you that own a Prius understand that the fidelity of the sound system (even my "high end" JBL) leaves much to be desired. I had previously added a subwoofer to my sound system.I love the HD Radio. I live in an urban area and my reception is excellent. I continue to get HD until I am about 35 miles out of the city. The radio uses my existing car antenna by intercepting and by-passing the car's antenna. The reception (for non HD) is equivalent to my car's Toyota (JBL) unit. I do lose an HD signal if I go into a tunnel. This is okay because the unit seamlessly switches back and forth to standard FM. It is known that HD signals are much weaker than standard FM. IF you want to use your car's radio you need to turn the HD radio off in order to let the signal by-pass the HD tuner into your car's unit.I get some outstanding music on HD radio (FM). Less advertising, better song selection. Overall I'm very satisfied with both the concept and the tuner that I installed.The only drawback is that the unit's backlighting is starting to fail. So it is difficult to see the screen. However, I use all preset stations and unless I'm trying to find out the name of what is playing it's no big deal.Finally, a very nice feature is that there can be multiple HD channels on a single HD radio station. So 105.7 FM can have channels HD1 and HD2. Each channel is playing a different HD song. This unit shows you what is playing on your current selected HD channel and on the other. Therefore if you don't like what you got you can switch it by just pressing the same preprogrammed button a second time, switching back and forth on the same radio station.Drawbacks. Some radio stations broadcast HD radio but do not give you HD output. In other words, the fidelity of the HD radio is not any better than the standard FM signal. This is not the fault of the HD tuner. This is a station issue. You will know when you listen.I like this unit so much that I'm considering buying one and adding it to my home theater. We'll see.UPDATE 5-2-2013This unit went bad on me last fall. It worked for me for about 3-4 years. I'm happy with that. I just ordered another and replaced it. Took about 30 mins because I didn't need to rewire it. I'm back in business. I still love the radio.

Makes a nice table radio too...

I got last one from previous "fulfilled by Amazon" supplier at half the current price with free shipping. Probably wouldnt have bought it at current price though seems some other not fulfilled by Amazon sellers that are selling it with shipping for not lot more than I gave.Anyway I was actually looking for an indoor radio and wanted HD so I could get the extra HD programming from the local NPR station. This was the cheapo option.I hooked it to an old AT computer power supply that I had saved for some unknown reason, the kind with the paddle switch built onto the side of the power supply. Hey what else was I going to do with an old AT power supply? And used RCA to mini stereo adapter cable to hook it to pair computer speakers. Works great and I get my NPR HD programs.I guess I am old, I still wonder why a car radio would have a remote. I mean sitting in a car, your hand is 6 inch from the actual radio controls. Seems like fumbling with a remote is MORE complicated than just pushing the buttons on the radio. But anyway its a brave new world and just gotta adapt to its idiosyncrasies. The remote is actually kinda handy while using this as a table radio.

Great portable HD radio kit

I heard on the radio an ad for HD radio and I decided to try it. The nice thing about the HD Radio¿ Component Car Tuner is that it doesn't have to be mounted in the car. This is great for those of us who are only evaluating the new technology. I have a 2010 vehicle and there is no antenna on the ouside. It was very difficult to get to my radio to use the existing antenna, so I bought an inside the car antenna (hidden antenna.)This HD radio works great. It picks up as many FM stations as my car radio does. I haven't tried the AM station yet. I will probably only use this radio when I want to listen to HD stations. The built-in car radio works great for normmal listening. I think it is a discontinued model, so I got it at a great discount. I am very pleased with this purchase.

For more than nursing moms

My family discovered this product over 20 years ago, when I was nursing my children and then as business owner, renting and selling breastpumps and other breastfeeding aid products. It is easy to find this in a 2 oz tube, but these 1/4 oz tubes are bit more challenging to locate. This is my families "first aid" product of choice. We use it on our lips to prevent or heal chapped lips and for any sort of cut or scrap. We even use it on our dogs and cats. These small tubes, make it easy to have a tube designated for each use/user. The principles that apply to healing working better under a bandage also apply here. Skin cells are designed to live in a moist environment. When you allow lips or scrapes to dry, new cells have to come to the surface from underneath to heal the area, allowing only one route for each cell. When you keep the area properly moist (not overly wet), you allow new cells to leap-frog across a sore area to accomplish the healing faster. By keeping it properly moist and protected, you also sooth the area, so you are less likely to damage it by scratching or rubbing the area. These little 1/4 oz tubes are about the size of a tube of Blistex, so they easily fit in a purse or pocket.
