Product Description
Conceptual artist for the original Star Wars trilogy, Ralph McQuarrie, helped bring George Lucas's vision to life and he played a pivotal role in creating the look of the Star Wars universe. As tribute to the 30th anniversary of Episode IV: A New Hope, McQuarrie's lightsaber duel between Lord Vader with Luke Skywalker has been fully realized as a Kotobukiya vinyl kit. They have faithfully reproduced McQuarrie's every detail, from Vader's samurai-inspired mask, to Luke's unseen-in-film breathing apparatus. The two figures can be displayed together or separately. Together, the combined bases measure approximately 16.5 inches long, with Vader standing about 11 inches tall. This is a special two-pack that will be a one-time production run. A statement of limitation will be printed on each package, as well as a special serial numbered sticker. Limited to a one-time production run. Featuring Luke's unseen-in-film breathing apparatus!

As like most of Kotobukiya's ArtFX pieces, the quality is superb. The packaging was annoying as hell and probably about trice the size it needed to be, but the parts were well protected. Assembly was easy and took only a few minutes.Sadly, the left shoulder pad on my Vader figure was missing from the package. It's nice and visible too that it's missing, so that's pretty much made the piece not worth displaying from that angle. I've contacted Kotobukiya to see if they could help, but I've yet to hear anything. You would think they would be a little more precise with limited run production models... or at least keep a couple spare parts "just in case", but apparently not.I would return the item, but it's been almost a year since I purchased it. I only now opened the box to assemble it as I contemplated keeping it sealed for a long time. Bad idea in hindsight. This is in no way the fault of the seller, but it's soured my experience with Koto's work now.

I've been looking at this piece for months and some of my friends chipped in to get it for my birthday. It's amazing to see Ralph McQuarrie's work come alive in three dimensions. The attention to detail is amazing (Luke has transparent goggles, his oxygen mask is removable, etc) and the paint job is superb as well. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Since I was a child I have been a fanatic of Star Wars. This product I bought it to adorn my cinema and actually it is a piece of collection due to his big details. TYhe delivery was immediate and perfect condition.Thank you
