Product Description

Assuming the shape of its name, acacia trees give shelter to many grassland dwellers. Found in many different forms throughout plains, acacias are unique trees that serve many different functions. As they grow and mature, these legumes give back to the soil, making it more fertile than it was before. In providing food, the limbs of Umbrella Acacias make way for leaves as well as clusters of flowers. This way, these trees are valuable to both herbivores and insects. One interesting thing that the acacia does for insects is to provide a dwelling and a food source. Along the branches, there are pods and sticky sap for ants. In turn, ants protect their provider by annoying animals who come to feed and by removing strangling vines who come to stay.

Schleich Umbrella Acacia

I will begin by admitting that I am a 52 year old man that collects these toys. I own a large collection of African animal figures from Schleich, Safari Ltd., Bullyland, Papo and CollectA. This tree is such an incredible staging piece that it seems to animate the animals that are placed around it. As with the other Schleich trees, the Umbrella Acacia is nicely detailed and very realistic. The tree requires assembly for which there are no instructions. This is not a problem as it is simple enough to figure out. Even though it is relatively durable, this tree would only be suitable for a child who is old enough to appreciate and care for their toys. Of course I highly recommend the Acacia to all adults who are pandering to their inner children. Schleich trees tend to be relatively expensive with the Acacia being among the priciest. That being said, I believe that there is good value here in something that fuels the imagination of young and old alike.

German Engineering at its Best

I purchased this model because my children like to play with Schleich animals and I thought it would be great to use in a diorama. This tree is one of the most impressive models I have ever seen. It is very solid and exceptionally well made. The tree towers over our Schleich lions. This tree will work well with any 90mm, 1/18 or 1/20 scale figures. I cannot wait to purchase more Schleich trees. This Acacia tree is yet another example of German engineering at its very best.

Minuteman ETR500 UPS

Compact tower physical form. Easy to setup. Connects to computer via USB. Has 8 outlets - 4 providing backup and surge protect, 4 with surge protect only. Also has RJ45 protection. Software user interface is good overall. Some of the software controls/selections are not very intuitive and could use some redesign. You can figure them out though while you are getting familiar with the unit/software. I am using this on a stand-alone system consisting of a computer, monitor, and router that are backed-up and other equipment on the surge only section. The combined load for the backed-up equipment is 22-30% of the UPS rating. This gives me plenty of back-up time (about 15-18 minutes)and allows for the UPS to shut down the computer as the time ticks away (how much time is needed to shutdown your computer is user selectable) following a power failure. The UPS/software does have some advanced notification features that I am not using, so I have not rated it on those. So far, so good after one week. No actual power failures, but I have tested it via the software and by removing power. These Sidepipes are an Excellent Product. Very Well Made

I purchased these sidepipes for installation on my Astronomy Mobile Outreach Vehicle (AMOV), which is a 1993 Ford Econoline Van. The first set arrived damaged in transit, and Amazon sent another set immediately, and arranged to pick up the damaged set at no cost to me. Kudos to Amazon with their excellent customer support.These sidepipes are very well made. They have a beautiful, chromed finish that is a real testament to their quality. The fit of all parts was perfect, and assembly was a breeze. I took these sidepipes to a local exhaust installer to have them mounted and connected on the van. The question was, "How do they sound"? Well, the sound was very pleasing. The sidepipes have a deep, throaty rumble that says "Power". They are not too loud, but loud enough to make people notice that these sidepipes are not for show, these sidepipes are set for "Go". I also noticed an increase in power and performance with the free flowing exhaust design of sidepipes. I also logged a small increase in MPG on the van, which would be expected with reduced exhaust back pressure.I definitely recommend these sidepipes to anyone considering them for their custom or performance vehicle.

I Like the Product But Will Never Buy This Again

I ordered this and the Amazon Marketplace reseller sent me "Missing Link Hip & Joint Formula" instead. After comparing the ingredients list, I realized they are identical. In the future, I will save myself some money and buy the other package that contains the exact same stuff for ~20% less money!

It Really Works!

I purchased this in hopes of finding a food based product instead of a pill for our 12 year old lab Bailey. He was unable to walk our stairs so we had to carry him up to 2 to 4x's a day. We add Missing Link to his food every day. A week or so later we were amazed to see him walk up our flight of stairs and stay out for longer walks! It seems to have put the spring back in his step! We haven't had to carry him up the stairs since. I highly recommend this product!

The 5-pound bag is the way to go if you have 2 big dogs. My vet recommended this years ago and I have given it to my dogs every day since! They love the taste, it keeps their coats beautiful and hopefully the glucosamine will help keep them spry into old age.

Reviewing the sunglasses not the vendor

I bought a pair of these Gucci's from a store. They are hands down the best pair of glasses I've ever bought in my 39 years! There is "weight" to them but they aren't overly heavy. Other Gucci glasses I've tried on felt like they'd crumble in my hand, they seemed frail. When I picked up these, I knew I was paying for quality material.The first pair I had got scratched which was my own fault, I set them on my purse, they fell in and I forgot about them. My keys scratched a small line in the lens. I paid $330 for them and hated to spend another $300 but I did because they are just too good to let go.I will buy another pair for future use!Oh, and these look amazing on women. They're slightly darker at the top. The brown lens slowly fades to a lighter brown at the bottom. Great coverage area for shading but it doesn't affect how you see things. They somewhat hide your eyes but not completely.If you like this style of sunglass, you won't be disappointed! Get them now!

Not much different from the 1980's

The My Little Pony Dream Blue is not an easy My Little Pony figure to find but once you find it it is certainly worth the money. I found my Dream Blue at my local ToysRUs for $2.99 and it is definitely worth that money especially when compared to other toys in the same price range.Although this pony was released in 2005 the design does not differ much from the same My Little Pony's that were released in the early 1980's. The toy is still made of the same hard plastic, it has the same trademark hip indicator, the head still turns, and the mane and tail are still brushable. The toy, just like it's predecessors is extremely durable which is another reason I was absolutely amazed at the price.The problems I have with this toy are the magnet that is in the pony's foot. Part of the reason I worry about this is because there is no reason for it to be there other than "interaction" with other MLP toys. The back of the packaging (which also features a story about the pony you have purchased) features a warning which is hidden among descriptive text that tells of a magnet inside the pony's foot.Aside from the magnet I am a big fan of My Little Pony's, I was around for the first wave of them and the newly released pony's are much the same at a lower cost. I highly recommend this toy for any child...just keep an eye on that magnet!

Sexy and Elegant

Although I am not a big fan of the Riedel Vitis series, these are feminine and beautiful. The stem it long, slender and shapely with a proportionally sized base. The bowl has beautiful curves and the signature Riedel razor-sharp rim. It matches well enough with the Riedel Vinum chardonnay, Pinot noir and Bordeaux glasses.

Had to give up on Frontline

I used to swear by Frontline until our groomer started finding fleas and tics on our Schnauzers. Frontline had always been such a lifesaver. I don't know whether they changed their formula or my three dogs suddenly developed a resistance to the product. I can remember life prior to Frontline, where the only alternative was flea/tic sprays and powders and I was afraid we were going to return to those days. That's when we decided to try Advantix. We have not had any problem yet. My vet said this is a banner year for tics but our pets seem to be protected so far, with no adverse reaction to the product. I actually had to purchase Advantix in 3 levels--for the different weights of our dogs--below 21 lbs, 21-55 lbs, and over 55 lbs (for a local stray who was dropped off in our neighborhood).

No ticks or fleas

We have had our dog for 3 years. He has been on Advantix the entire time and has never had trouble with ticks or fleas, although they are abundant around here. I highly recommend this product and the supplier Entirely Pets. They provided prompt service with no problems.

Advantix - Cheaper than through your vet

I was purchasing Advantix through [...], but they have increased their prices where they are no longer competitive. I found the Advantix through Amazon.com and it is still cheaper than my vet and [...]. The product works well, it is not 100%, as my dog still gets a tick every once in a while. I do bathe him weekly and he gets the ticks when he is exposed to an area where ticks are breeding (our game ranch and outside kennels). I live in an area of the US prone to mosquitos everytime it rains, Advantix is the only product I have found that treats, fleas, ticks and mosquitos.

This is a well made, nice looking surfboard wall rack that is constructed professionally with good materials (laminated birch) and is easy to mount.The owner of the company called me right away when I had a question about the instructions so I wouldsay they have a good response time for problems.For those who are concerned how their surfboard looks on the wall, this is the right choice. Other hangersmay be cheaper, but this product looks good and at the same time, is practical. It is easy on and easy offwith your surfboard, especially if you are in a rush to get to the waves.One note, use your board wax on the dowels and a rubber hammer to tap them into the wall mount holes;it makes the job much easier.
