I went shopping for some Zild A Custom 14" hats, looked at the mastersound and non-master, Zild part numbers 20510 and 20550, and I ended up getting these after a side-by-side comparison. They sounded brighter, crisper, and clearer than the others I tested. I also tested the Zild Pocket hats, and these again sounded better. I might still get the Zild just to have a complete set, but with only enough money to buy 1 set, these were it, and for alot less money than the Zilds. The brilliant finish matched the rest of my A Custom set, I have 18", 16", and 20" ping ride to go with these, they fit in perfect. This was my 1st set of Sabien cymbals, and I am VERY impressed. I might even consider a full set of Sabians now. I currently own 15" Pitch Black hats, 13" ZBT (now on sale cheap), and I borrowed 14" A Custom masters (which I will now return). These are my main hats now, I use the Pitches for a darker sound when needed. Man, these are the best hats I have ever bought, plain and simple.Dave

This hi hat is excellent I have no complaint, additionally the size of 13 inches it a much brighter sound, the sound is clear and precise perhaps the best of the sabian hi hat, I recommend 100%. previously had a medium hi hat 14 is good, but it clearly outshine and recommend it for any type of music
