Wow... just beautiful!

Okay, first I want to make it clear that I don't collect anime stuff. I enjoy the occasional high-end Anime (Akira, Vampire Hunter D, FLCL), and I have nothing against those who are obsessed by all things Japanese, but I am not one of them. Just pointing that out to establish that I have no particular bias here. I am Gaijin.But, I've seen these PVC statues gaining popularity for years and always thought if I ever saw one that was *AMAZING* I would buy it. Because despite the Anime fetish aspect that I'm not particularly intrigued by, there was clearly the potential for some amazing character scultping. So I've waited patiently, occasionally admiring a few, but never finding anything that was interesting enough to justify the price.Well, this is the one. I have no idea what show/manga/game it's based on, all I know is that the pictures looked incredible. The sculpting on the dress is phenominal! Just beautiful. The way it flows and the overall shape and the way it works dynamically with the pose is just so elegant that it truly deserves to be displayed. Even the most jaded Anime hater would have a hard time not admitting this thing simply looks great.To get a sense of scale, the girl herself (not counting the dress swirling over her head or the tall bits of hair sticking up)is about 8.5 inches tall. The effect of the entire piece is just large enough to be satisfying. Any larger would be overkill and any smaller would be a bit disappointing. And for those who agonize over whether to take stuff out of the box or not, the box is uninteresting and ugly enough that you'll have little problem ripping her out of there and putting her on proper display.The photos are a bit deceptive though, most of the subtle shading you see really isn't there. But you won't be too disappointed, just light her nicely and all is good.For the pervs, it's possible to remove the dress and/or the breast cups, but frankly I can't imagine why anyone would want to. The dress is the whole point here, and leaving the dress on with just the bewbage exposed simply looks silly.All in all, this is a beautifully sculpted piece with elegance and grace that transcends it's Anime heritage to become a piece of art that anyone could be proud to display.-And you've just gotta love a wedding dress with straightjacket straps all over it...

My favorite Collector's Item!

I purchased this beauty a while back and I loved it from the moment I saw it. I love to collect anime but this statue is just special and unique. It's breath-taking and very display friendly. It is defenitely a 'Must-Have' for anime collectors everywhere!!!
