The set I received was made in England, however one of the mugs arrived with broken due to deficient packaging. Amazon sent replacement in a hurry to my satisfaction as usual. Each of the mugs has unique imprint with no signs of any manufacturing flaws.Recommended.---- Update 4/7/2012 ----Just noticed that one of the mugs were slightly deformed - bumpy and not smooth finish. Another mug had a tiny black dot. Neither were bad enough to return the mugs, but noticeable if looked closely.Still recommended, but make sure to examine the details ASAP.
