Great set up, great look, but a little leakage at the seams in heavy rain
By Robert Taylor
We bought this tent last week and set it up twice. Basic set up takes about 3 minutes--very slick. By the time you stake it out and put up the rain fly, it's more like 10-15 minutes.Pros:1) Lightweight2) solid construction materials (except plastic zippers)3) Super easy set up4) great looking5) stable in strong windsCon: seams between floor and walls slowly drip when saturatedI grew up camping quite a bit. Our family always used Springbar tents, which are, in my opinion, the best tents made--waterproof, windproof and ultra solid construction. The biggest problem with them is they are a bit of a pain to set up--very heavy and they take two people. Well now, I have a 5 yr old son who I like to take camping who isn't old enough to help set up so I needed something easier. This turbo tent was just the ticket! It's a great looking tent and it makes you want to use it because it's so easy, but in a heavy storm, you'll get some leakage. We had 40 mph winds and 0.3 inches of rain last night (Pleasant Grove, UT) and we woke up to slightly wet pillows and very small puddles around the edges of the tent. To confirm there wasn't a hole in the tent, I sprayed down the tent with our hose. For the first 5 minutes, the tent was completely waterproof, but as the seams between the floor and the walls got saturated, they started to slowly drip water. The rest of the seams seemed to be watertight. I think this is the only flaw in the tent (not a complete rain fly). The fly only covers the roof and part of the sides. Anyway, I like the tent so much that I'm going to see if they sell a complete rain fly separately. Bottom line: If you're going to do mostly fair weather camping, this tent can't be beat for convenience and quality.

Solid Tent
By Bill Bigsby
Purchased the BlackPine Deluxe-6 Turbo Tent a few weeks ago and have only had a chance to use it once. I did two test setups that went well. And then final setup at the camp ground. The setup is almost as easy as the video shows. They claim 60 seconds ... I claim 6 minutes. you still have to hammer the corner stakes into the ground and that takes most of the time. But all and all very fast on setup. The material is solid rip-stop heavy. Which of course also makes the tent heavy. I believe it weighs in at a feathery 50 pounds. You will most likely not be hiking this beast any where for any duration. There are only two issues that I have with the tent. 1) The zipper is plastic. I know they were NOT trying to save on weight, so I don't know why they didn't just place a metal zipper. 2) The top pops up, but does not lock. I have not had a problem with it yet, but I wonder if eventually it will just "un-pop" with a lot of use. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would give this tent an 8. Also, this tent can be popped up so fast, you end up helping who ever you came with put up their tent! Although it is fun to race them.

Awesome!
By Ted
This is by far the best tent I have ever bought. Quick and easy set up, took me about 3 minutes the first time. I have had no problems since I've had it. I recommend this tent to anyone who loves camping.
