I have had this blender for 20 years, and I use it A LOT! Still going strong. Forget cheap blenders, I have worn those things out after less than a year.This thing freezes up the best margaritas you have ever had. Fantastic value for the money!! I would pay $300, really.If there are any cons, they would be: 1) blades super sharp and easy to cut yourself when you unscrew base for cleaning. (maybe this is all blenders, not sure). 2) it's sort of loud. (who cares if it works great?!). 3) jar won't hold a lot, probably 4 drinks, or 2 huge drinks. This is part of why I love it, though, because this size commercial stainless steel jar has everything to do with freezing drinks, smoothies, etc., to a perfect consistency. People always remark on it when I make them drinks and smoothies. I have other blenders with big glass jars, and I end up not using them at all because the quality of the drink or smoothie is just not comparable.I am so glad to see they still sell these things, because I have been afraid that if mine ever dies, I won't be able to get another one! I'm thinking it might last forever, though. Hint: Put liquid in first, THEN the ice. ;-)
