We purchased these blades to go with our Monte Carlo fan.You'd think with the high price and the "thick" construction you'd be buying quality. So we were shocked when we opened the packaged to find all but one of the blades had a major construction defect.The sales image gives the appearance as one solid piece of wood, but the blades are actually plied wood with pecan veneers. It was the veneers on both sides of plied wood core that was damaged, either missing large chunks of veneer or the veneer was splitting.Luckily, we ordered from Amazon. They sent us another box of blades and a return label free of charge. And even though we were expecting them to be just as poorly constructed, they were all okay. They mounted on the fan perfectly and looked wonderful. Assuming the first box was just a bad batch, these blades are thick and beautiful.The pecan color is accurately shown in the picture so we did get what I had expected.
