I never owned or used an alcohol stove before, but I am so glad I gave this one a try. It works perfectly, burns cleanly, and there really arent any moving pieces or things that can break. The pots and pan heat quickly and seem to work well. They all pack up to a nice compact size, so I think going forward I'll take this along instead of my Dragonfly (which works great, just not quite as simple and a bit larger and heavier).
