I now have three Schlage keyless locks. Front and back doors and the garage side door. No more keys! No more fumbling for the right key. No more lock outs. I have all set to the same combination four digit number. Schlage is the best lock on the market for home use. Their locks are built to last and have very close tolerances making them hard to pick open. There is also a bypass keyway, if necessary. The combinations are easy to change and you can have more than one number if you want to give one out temporally.(cleaning lady or handyman, etc.) Once used, it is easy to erase. My lock model locks automatically every time the door is closed. I consider this as a real security asset. No more unlocked doors. Other lock models have a thumb turn on the inside so you can lock it only when you want to. The 10 digit numbers also light up at night or dim areas (a cool color blue) at the push of a button on the lock face. Anyone with kids should have these locks. Do away with the term "latch key kid", for good!

Ever walk out of the house and forgot your keys?...oppps doors locked...darn. Or hate carrying your keys when you go for a run?...Heres your solution. For us this is on a multi-family appartment building and this locks the "common area". A simple twist on the back allows you to lock or unlock the unit...a front key is used if the battery dies, and the codes are changeble at your will or whim as it were. This was our second try at a keyless solution. We had a Bio-lock unit. And although I never had issues....my wife and some others did...it just would not read there thumbs no matter what they tried. (maybe there fingers are too small?....anyhow.) This unit seems good so far. It installed in about 15 min with a manual philips screwdriver. Very simple. Programs via a master code. It seems well built and durable. Schlage offers a lifetime on finish and materials but only a year on the electronics.

This keypad entry lock is awesome! Easy to install, and looks great too. I can have multiple entry codes, and create entry code on the fly for temporary access to my home.Just Great!Mike.
