This unit has both the Fuel Pump & Sending Unit for the fuel level, and will fix the inoperable fuel level due to the sending unit wearing out. This is the only way to replace the sending unit since it is integral to the pump assembly (ie, no cheaper fix).This fuel pump and sending unit has been in the car for over 500 miles now with no problems. great price as compared to the dealer. This item meets the OEM Specification and is an exact fit replacement.The wiring harness is different than original due to a design improvement, but even the replacement from the dealer requires the new wiring harness. Recommend also purchasing a new fuel tank lock ring, Spectra Premium Part TR7 or AC Delco TR7, since tho old one may be rusty and get bent on removal.Do some research on your vehicle and you may not need to remove the fuel tank for replacement. My buick has a cover inside the trunk that provides easy acess for replacement.Also, replace the fuel filter while doing this replacement.

This pump was a new one that had all the parts needed to install including a new connector that had to be installed,and works as expected
