Ordered this lamp from my wife's Amazon wish list for Christmas 2012. Lamp arrived on time for Christmas, unassembled and well packaged in a large box--so well packaged that it took some effort to extract it from the box and all of the protective styrofoam. Once extracted, though, the lamp was easy to assemble. (One thing to watch for: there are cardboard bits inside the unassembled stem segments. Be sure to remove them before screwing the stem segments together and feeding the power cord through.) Its a sturdy piece once put together--the pieces fit together well, don't wiggle once assembled, and the base is heavy, which reduces any tendency to tip. Lamp is very attractive and my wife is well pleased with it. It's more expensive than similar looking lamps I was looking at at Lowes (more than double the cost), but my guess is it's probably better built than those lamps. Bottom line: My wife did the research and picked this lamp. She's happy, so I say it's worth the price.

Not sure I would recommend buying again. It's an okay, typical Chinese reproduction--but that's about it. I was expecting more.
