My Mother-in-Law recently read a book about Coco Chanel, which we bought her for Christmas at Amazon.com. She enjoyed the story of Coco so much we decided to buy her some Chanel perfume for her birthday. Returning to Amazon, we found the perfume at a great price and placed the order with BargainsInc. I sent a message to the vendor explaining that I wanted to expedite the purchase because it was to be a birthday gift. I never heard back. A month went by and I still heard nothing, even to the two messages I sent requesting the order's status. I have now filed a claim with Amazon to recoup the money paid for this item. As soon as that claim is settled I will be shopping for Chanel once again. This time however, I will avoid BargainsInc, as I would strongly advise everyone else to do as well.

When I saw the ad for Chanel #5 I was excited. I used to wear this perfume as a teenager and had been wanting some more. The price was so low that I couldn't resist. The item arrived promptly but when I opened the box I was disappointed. First, the item was listed as NEW, but you could tell immediately that it had been repackaged. There were oily stains on the paper around the neck of the bottle. When I sprayed the Chanel on I could smell it for approximately one minute, then the fragrance was gone. It really didn't smell like Chanel #5. It reminded me of something that someone put together in their kitchen. I immediately returned it. Remember, You GEt What YOu Pay for. Everything that looks like a bargain may not be a bargain.

The price was way below the average price for this item. However, when I received it, the packaging appeared new and unopened. The product and the bottle looked new, however, it was not my favorite fragrance. It has a faint odor reminiscent of Chanel No. 5, but even that fades within one minute. Alas, I have discovered the only value in this purchase is the nice bottle sitting on my dressing table, and I have returned to using my quickly depleting supply of the Parfum, and still wishing for a spray bottle of the less concentrated eau de Parfun. Ripped off.
