This is a very cool lamp to add a modern touch to any room. However, the pull chain gets stuck occasionally(either in the on or off position). I have to unscrew the lightbulb, and wiggle the socket a little to get it unstuck. But then again, it also isn't very expensive, so you get what you pay for! I love the design enough to deal with the occasional sticking!

We ordered two lamps and we got it today (03/12) and well packaged (shipping and handling was 24.00 for two lamps which could have been a bit cheaper). When we opened the box and checked the "shade" part of the lamp we noticed that the seam was coming apart since it was just stuck together by glue and not sewn. Have to go get some sort of permanent glue to fix it...

Took a chance as there are a few negative reviews regarding the quality of the lamp. It came in excellent condition. 1st quality without any flaws. We use them on our nightstands which are 30 inches high. With the nightstands level with the mattress the pull string is just a few inches higher then the table. Very easy to turn off light at night. Very pleased with the style.
