It's not bulky at all, and it's so well-designed, with lots of different pockets and compartments to keep you organized. It's got eight credit card slots, a zippered pocket, 3 dollar bill sized open slots, three business card slots (one of which contains a small mirror), a clear ID pocket, and of course, the kiss closure compartment which is more than large enough to hold my iPhone. The hardware is very pretty. It looks like brushed steel, with the color halfway between gold and silver. The leather isn't the highest quality I've seen, and the "vintage leather" is prone to scratches and scuffs.For those who care about the lining, do note that the description says, "Linings vary seasonally." My black bag came with a red and beige pattern.Edit - one note of clarification. When I purchased this wallet, it was specifically listed as "vintage leather." My GUESS is that if the material is just listed as leather, rather than vintage leather, you will not have the issue with scuffs that I've experienced. I realize the available colors change regularly, and as I'm writing this update (1/15/13), the wallet depicted looks like "regular" leather.

I bought the one I am using five or six years ago, and I have never needed another wallet since. The only reason I am looking for another one is because I bought mine in the ginger (orange) color, and the leather has gotten worn looking over the years. However, it has not actually gotten worn out in any way. I have had wallets come apart on me in the past after only several months of use, but my Hobo has stayed strong.I read a few of the reviews here tonight and I want to add that the magnets are strong enough to kill the magnetic strip on a card, but only if you put the cards in the wrong compartments. In the first year of using my wallet I killed a lot of cards by putting them in the snap compartment. I discovered through trial and error that Hobo actually set the interior card sections up so that they are protected from the magnets. True. As long as I put the cards in the slots they belong in, I have never killed the magnetic strips.I can fit pretty much my whole life into this one wallet. It is indispensable. I want to get it in black so that the wear doesn't show, but I am really not even in a hurry because the one I have is still so good.

I just got my new wallet and I am so glad I finally got it! I was looking at the smaller version, called the Robin, but I am so glad I saw this model. It is much bigger and once filled with my cards and change, I still had room!It is a big wallet, almost a clutch, so if you have smaller bags, perhaps check out the Robin. I am very happy with the Rachel and can't wait to use it. I wish it came with a pile of cash, but I will deal with it!Don't hesitate. it is worth every penny!
