This media shelf system is an excellent solution to having lots of media but no where to display or store them. It's a fairly large unit being 76" tall and wide and would fill up a single wall in an office or bedroom. When it arrived it was securely packaged with plenty of foam to keep individual pieces in their places. We (myself and my wife) are pretty well experienced at assembly of large and complex furniture and so this took us only about a little over an hour to put together minus the shelves which we did at a later date. It comes with everything you need in the box with exception of a phillips head (cross bit) screwdriver which is needed to lock the cam locks. Some might need a small rubber mallet to help put pieces together. I just used my hands to smack some things into place. I'd say that assembly difficulty would be Medium.From assembly I thought it was put together very nicely and it was quite sturdy for it's usage. A review on another color version (Cherry) of this exact piece complained that the shelves were too thin and with their CDs wanted to sag. While at first I had the same impression I realized quickly that thicker shelves meant less room for media or would then require a larger shelf system as a whole. Each shelf is supported by 6 plastic supports underneath and above in the back corners by 2 round plastic pieces to prevent sagging. We bought ours for usage with DVDs and with a complete shelf I see no visible sag at all on any of the shelves. I can't speak for heavier objects being put on them but it would have to be rather significant as a whole to cause any visible sag. Between tall sections there are wood veneer front ends that sort of prevent a full shelf from being used but you would need that space anyways in order to wedge a finger in to grab a CD or DVD so I don't put too much negative towards it. This unit also comes with wall mounting straps so that you can attach it to the wall and prevent accidental front toppling of the unit. This is important for those with kids who like to climb on things and also in perhaps earthquake tremor areas or if you have a slightly uneven floor against the desired positioning wall.All in all I thought that this Triple Media Storage Rack System is an excellent product. It's a beautiful product that blended very well into our Oak paneling in our living room. In fact it looks so good that one might even mistake it for a built in custom piece of furniture at a glance. We got this piece when it was on sale below $300. So for what we got it for, it was a very good buy.

The CD shelf system took two of us two hours to assemble. It holds lots of CDs. Shelves bow under the load. Works great, looks okay, but this isn't living room quality furniture.
