Drummer's Best Friend!!
By AeroZ
I'm a drummer, and this metronome does everything my other metronome doesn't do. There's little information about the metronome aspect of the product, so I will fill you in with the details :)1. The tempo can range from 20 - 250 beats per minute.2. You can select ANY subdivision you want from 1 to 32. If you want a beat to be subdivided into 7...no problem! 9? 15? 19? no problem. I was looking for this feature EVERYWHERE.3. Volume control can get very low and soft...and the volume can also be controlled to be very loud! There's also an output to headphones.4. Different meters: the metronome will allow you to accent a meter every 1 to 9 beats. If you want, you can also do time signatures that break the beat into multiple pulses like 2:3 (1,2,1,2,3, etc), 3:2 (1,2,3,1,2, etc), 4:3, 4:5, 5:6, 6:7 etc.Overall, the metronome is best for a drummer who is working on odd meters and weird subdivisions. The only thing I haven't figured out, is how to get the metronome to play swung beats...then again, I can just stick to subdividing the beat into 3 or 4 :)

Great Product
By Steve West
This is truly a one-stop practice tool. I play guitar and piano, teach piano, and my kids take piano, guitar and french horn lessons. Both kids use the timer to measure their practice times, and it is pretty easy to set. The stopwatch function is useful for timing recital pieces. The strobe and sweep tuners are great for tuning the guitar, and the strobe tuner is excellent for a horn player. It would have been nice to be able to set the key of the instrument, it is harder for beginning players to transpose to concert pitch. Having a metronome that will subdivide and stress notes with compound meters is a real help, and the reason I bought the metronome. This function works great. This is a device that tries to be all things to all people, and it does a pretty good job of that. The tap and copy functions for identifying a tempo or pitch are useful if you can't do that by ear. There is an adapter available for this, but as I said on the review for that product, you probably don't need it unless your metronome is always going to be in one spot. Then by all means buy one to save on batteries.

Wonderfull Practice tool.
By brian
I love this practice station. I play guitar and use this every night for practise. I use it in conjunction with David Mead's book "Ten Minute Guitar Workout". First I set the timer to track how long i am practising for. Then I use its tuner to tune up. Then I use the metronome to practice scales. Then I use the countdown timer for the 2 minute routines in Mead's book. I used to have four different devices for this. This gadget does it all in one!
