It features a TEFC Induction AC motor for a long duty cycle with 100-feet long and 0.31-inch thick wire rope. This heavy hauling AC-powered winch has a 3 stage planetary gear design and is equipped with a mechanical braking system and a fan cooled motor.

I purchased other name brands such as Super Winch and yet this winch by Warn is quieter and much much better winch. Pound for pound this is the best winch.
