The SOG Seal Team Elite was my first SOG knife and In 1 day SOG had completely earned my trust and respect as a top knife company.Pros:The sheath is the best on the market, I don't know why anyone would want the more expensive kydex sheath, its not as good and is not MOLLE ready. many people have said it is "triple stitched" but it is actually double stitched and riveted, it's all you needTitanium Nitride (TiNi) coating makes the stainless steel even more waterproofExtreme heat treatment for the bladePocket on the sheath for a firesteel/multi-toolExposed tang at the bottom of the blade that makes a useful strike for firesteels or hammerRibbed back useful for notchingRibbed back bites into thumbs well and makes great jimpingUltra durable Zytel handleMOLLE straps on the back of the sheathExtremely large cutting surfaceSharp serrations that cut with easeWeighted perfectlyCons:Price, this knife was nearly 2x more expensive than my KabarThe serrations are a little longThe handle is rough on your hands for normal people, but I love the extra tractionAlthough I don't know how durable this knife is, I can say that this is a great knife and I'd gladly take it with me to all corners of the earth.

This is an excellent knife. It is great for hunting and camping, I carry it everyday. I chose this knife over the Seal Pup because I like a little extra length ans this has the extended tang. I first used this knife to cut up a roadkill deer for bobcat bait and the edge is still perfect. Very tough edge, you can skin and elk and it'll still be sharp enough to cape out it's head. The ONLY thing I didn't like is the sheath, it's a good sheath but it takes a little super glue to keep it from fraying in certain spots. Great knife for a variety of uses, especially for the price!

Very good knife...AUS8 is a good steel choice, if it were offored in standard (non-serated) edge I would have given 5 stars. the Ti coating actualy lasts. good handle length, the nylon sheath is great (except for the velcro retaining strap).....its a SOG, what more do you need to know!
