What a heck of a thing to have to read reviews about, right? Sad, but I'll bet I know why you're cruising reviews for toilet seats. Because, just like me, the piece of... well, you know, that you got at the local hardware store lasted X months and cracked. Or chipped. Or did whatever it did that whenever you sit on it now you get your heinie pinched. Yup, welcome to reading toilet seat reviews. The good news is that you just found the best. Admittedly, I've only had mine for about six months now, but I feel more than qualified to review it. I bought my first one locally, and spent time at the two hardware competitors' stores trying to find the best I could get. Absolute junk. Pull the Kohler out of the box and the difference will be immediately apparent. It's an order of magnitude better, and you'll know it by heft, hardware, and finish. By the way, if you're buying a seat because you're redoing a bathroom, my review of Kohler faucets would read the same. My Price Pfister lasted less that 18 months before the bronze finish wore off, and just pulling the Kohler out of the box swore me off of hardware-store junk forever. Bottom line?
