This is actually my second pair of HHX Xcelerator hats. I bought the 13" models a while back when I wanted something faster for funk playing on my kit. Totally fell in love with the 13's but after some time found myself craving a deeper, sloshier sound. More or less on a whim I grabbed this pair of 15's. I dig them for some kinds of music but the "chick" sound is a little more subdued than I'd like. These days I use the 13's as my main hats and have the 15's over to the right on an x-hat stand. Love being able to mix the two different tones of the 13's and 15's together but everytime I try the 15's as my main hats they end up back on the Xhat within an hour or two.
