Great stand
By A. Morgan
I bought this recently with a new build in mind, now I wish I'd got one years ago. Good solid stand that adjusts with one hand and spins for easy access, I'd highly recommend this stand to anyone wanting to build and maintain their own bikes, be they MTB or road.

Poor design at bottom bracket and floppy legs, too!
By D. B. Smith
I bought this unit to replace an aging Blackburn conventional stand. It is quite sturdy -- you might say "heavy" and the legs can't be fixed in place -- every time you pick it up to move it you have to re-position the legs. The biggest problem, however, is the "saddle" or "cradle" that's supposed to support the bottom bracket on your bike: the bike frame is supposed to just sit on four vinyl covered points that are completely non-adjustable.Besides the question of whether having the bike rest (most of the weight) on four pointed, vinyl-covered metal protrusions, there's no way to position where the points come into contact with your bike. There's a strap that you're supposed to loop over the bottom bracket and snap together as a sort of "seat belt" for the bike; it's impossible to position and close the strap with one hand (e.g. while you're trying to make sure you bike doesn't fall off the stand before you get it snapped!).I have a BMC SLR01 and a Specialized S-Works Roubaix, neither of which really "fit" the saddle. They can be held in the work stand by the forks but the bb is not secure at all -- IMO it's an invitation for damage to the paint, at least, and maybe to the carbon frame, itself.I complained to Park Tools and was told that this stand was really designed for professional mechanics on tour to "just wash bikes and do minor tune-ups". They also said I should probably consider buying a different stand! Before you buy this, you should check out the Feedback Sprint stand. Design is very similar but the "saddle" is a slightly better idea.My 2¢UPDATE: I sold the Park stand on ebay and purchased a Feedback Sport Sprint. The Feedback stand is FAR superior to the Park, both in design/engineering and materials/construction quality. It also comes fully-assembled, unlike the Park. The Feedback can be moved without re-adjusting the legs -- they stay where they are instead of flopping closed (like the Park). The saddle upon which the bb sits is flat and padded and a better "fit" (at least for my bikes).Have to say that IMO the folks who have rated this Park stand 4-5 stars obviously didn't see a Feedback Sport Sprint before they purchased. It's FAR better.

Rock solid stand
By Tyler B
This has been a very nice bike stand. Clearly, mounting the bike is a bit more involved than clamping the frame or seatpost but once it's on there's no worry about it coming loose or moving around. One of the other great features is the ability to lock the height and still allow the bike to swivel around. When you're working on a project that involves both sides (bottom bracket, cranks, etc.) there's no need to move side to side, just give it a spin. I've found that I use it much more that my old clamping Park stand because it allows unobstructed access to both sides of the bike without clamping and reclamping. Cleaning the bike after a ride in the rain is much easier. Also if you've ever been concerned about the challenge of wrenching hard on the eventual tight fitting it's a solid platform and the bike won't move.
