Great for sewing
By Nickie Engle
I love this desk! My husband originally gave me this same desk several years ago, to use as a sewing table, so I'd have space for both of my machines. During a recent move, we had to let go of a lot of our furniture, so I lost my beloved table.I just recently ordered this again through Amazon/CSN -- and I am so happy to have it again. It is quite sturdy, folds up easily when/if you want to close it up, and is still an attractive piece of furniture when folded. The casters are good & sturdy. The desk rolls easily when you need to move it, but stays put nicely when in use. I had my embroidery machine running for lengthy amounts of time, with the desk on a hardwood floor - all the vibration of the machine never caused the desk to shift along the floor at all. But it was easy enough to move the desk if I needed to.All in all, I think this is a great product for this price range. MUCH better quality than most assemble-it-yourself furniture I've seen.It does take a bit of time to put it together - but once done, you have a great desk that is perfect for sewing, or could be used for so many other purposes.PLEASE NOTE: the desk does NOT have the pewter drawer handles as shown in the photo - the handles you will receive with the white desk are a cream color. My first desk, from a few years ago, had the pewter handles, which I liked better. I even called the manufacturer to see if I could buy another set of handles in the pewter, and they told me they no longer make the pewter handles at all. So apparently, this vendor simply hasn't updated their photos. I know this is a tiny detail & likely, not important for most people - but I wanted to mention that in case it does matter to anyone else.

I use it as a sewing station
By RobynB
This works great as a sewing station. I really like the way it all folds up to a nice size that can be rolled into the corner of the office and out of the way. You get what you pay for so if you are looking for a high quality item that can stand up to children this is not for you. This is made to be functional it is not high end. If you place a beverage on the surface it will bubble and leave a mark from moisture. Plan on a couple of hours to assemble this item with help.Over all I really like the function of this item for the purpose I purchased it for. If you are in need of a craft, scrap booking or sewing table this will work perfectly for adults.

It's good, but wouldn't pay more than $200 for it! Drawers not so good
By B. Williams
Overall, it's a good table, but the drawers are terrible. If you make one little mistake or the glue dries too thick, the drawers will not go into the slots. You definitely need more glue than what is provided...I was glad I read the reviews first, so I already had purchased some extra wood glue before it got here. Assembly was very simple, my 9 and 11 year olds helped me build it in a couple of hours. Everything was there, and the pieces were pretty well made. But, it is not real wood, and the chance that you can mess something up in assembly is there, so really follow the directions carefully. I had one drawer that had a small amount of excess glue, and it wouldn't fit easy, so its the stiff drawer at the bottom now :). I don't recommend paying over $200 for it, as it is not a real wood product. I will have to come back and review again in a couple of months after use to see how well it holds up... then I will be able to say for sure if you could pay more for it and not feel ripped off. It folds down nice, and it rolls well when you want it too, and stays put when you need it too, so that is a good feature. It is really long, just a few inches shy of my pool table, (which is what I was using before for quilting) and it's nice and smooth on top, so the quilts should slide perfect now, and not get stuck. It's very sturdy too, And even though the drawers are hard to open and close, they are very roomy, so I was able to put everything I had in them, plus there's room for more. I hope this helps anyone who's looking. I would buy it again, because I paid under $200 for it, and for that price, it's well worth it.
