Looks much more expensive than it actually is

We just finished upgrading our kitchen and had a large single basin sink installed. We wanted a large arched faucet to match. Unfortunately, this style of faucet usually costs several hundred dollars, which wasn't in our budget. I found this American Standard model on Amazon, and the price seemed too good to be true, it was even much less expensive than some regular faucets at the big box stores. I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. Once installed, it looked better than some of the 4-500 dollar faucets we had looked at. We've been using it for 6 months now, and it works fine as well. You cannot go wrong for the price Amazon is charging.The only reason that I gave this 4 stars is because the sprayer is a bit flimsy, it is mostly plastic and will likely need upgrading at some point, but I still think that the faucet is worth it. It's beautiful!

What an incredible value!

We replaced a leaky, somewhat corroded polished brass Price-Pfister of similar style; now that we've installed the American Standard Hampton, we find the latter of far superior quality in style, function, and finish. The heavy, solid cast brass material is equivalent in weight and quality to Kohler fixtures we installed several years ago in our master bath, but this model cost far less (<$190) than comparable Kohler models ($490-560). Polished brass is becoming far more difficult to find, as it's apparently now passé, but all of our fixtures are "PB"; after considering bronze and other finishes, we felt fortunate to find this model at an unbelievable price. Installation was a breeze, thanks in part to the crystal clear instructions and parts diagram, but particularly due to the included "special" under-sink wrench for tightening the locking nuts--so much easier than using an adjustable or channel wrench in such a tight space! Made in Mexico, the parts appear to be much higher quality than those of similarly styled models made in China. The lifetime finish and function warranty is second to none, though given our initial impression of this model's quality, I doubt we'll ever have to utilize it.The high-rise gooseneck provides ample room for washing large stockpots, etc., and swivels easily. The ceramic valves operate smoothly, effortlessly, and drip-free. The sprayer activates and shuts off precisely despite our relatively poor water pressure. Best of all, the finish and overall appearance are simply beautiful.We're so pleased, we plan to replace all of our aging PB Delta tathroom fixtures with American Standard models as budget and time permit--and to think, until this purchase, I thought all they made were toilets! Kudo's to American Standard for producing such a fine product at this price.
