Solid, utilitarian blade

The blade fits tightly in the scabbard, no rattle, the fittings appear to be a non-magnetic alloy (blackened brass, perhaps), but everything from the sword collar and hand guard down through the handle is solid, maybe a touch overbuilt as far as thickness, but the fullers, or grooves (which are also well carved/executed), help its balance and make it sing. The handle wrapping is done in the proper alternating pattern, something all to rare in budget katana-style swords; the scabbard also has an alloy end cap, reinforcing the 'yanone' or arrowhead theme of the sword's fittings. The polish is satin and plain, good for hiding scratches from fibrous cutting media, and the long tip is counterpolished. Overall, a good choice for someone's 'first' or 'only' katana, or as a user/spare/surrogate for a more expensive or cherished blade.

The working mans sword

It comes fairly sharp with a nice black wood scabbord. Its a little on the heavy side but very durable. After heat treatment rockwell of 65 on 1055 steel. The warrior series is not polished so it is probably not for display. You can watch the torchure test on youtube. If you are like me and can't spend an fortune on a katana and still want a quality sword that you can use whenever you want and will hold an edge you wont be dissappointed.

Modern Katana

A beast of a sword. Has a natural feel when cutting. The weight of the sword does the work, putting power behind it is optional.Traditional katana collectors may be put off by the lack of a hamon. But don't be fooled. A hamon is not necessary with the purity and heat treatment of the modern steel. It will resist chipping better than a traditional katana as well as take more abuse from flexing pressure. Hamons have disadvantages as well and should not be there if the the reasons for having them are non-existent.Great overall sword.

Good Squash Racket

The Feel & Balance: it is 130 g and and found head heavy as stated.Very stiff racket, adds to power. 500 sq cm head makes it a racket with big sweet spot, forgives poor connects and still lets you make a decent return.The grip is mushy and the fingers sink in.Control is good, feels light and swift.Appearance: looks great too. Replaces broken Dunlop Hot Melt MuscleWeave 120 gms.Very good value for money, shipping by Squash Pro was fast, delivered in 2 days.I found heavey head unique, more bang, need to get used to, racket is stiff, makes a bang noise every time the ball is hit.Good buy. Solid Racquet

After 6 months of play with a standard cheapo Prince racquet, I felt it was time to upgrade to something to enhance my playing style. The 130g racquet is light and quick with an over-sized head which gives good power to get the ball in the back corners. I felt the sledge hammer did have less control over my prior racquet. I took a star off because the cover that comes with item is of poor quality and only covers the head.Overall, I would recommend to any mid-level player. I'm ranked a 3.5 at my squash club for reference.

The best blade I've ever owned!

There is only one brand to look at when it comes to buying good quality, strong, durable knives... Ontario Knife.I picked this up in December of 2010, spent about 30 minutes putting a good edge on it, and have used it incessantly ever since. Yes, 30 minutes to sharpen it, with a comnination of stone nad diamond embedded stell hones... that itself says that the steel is excellent. A Cheap knife will sharpen in 5 minutes, but will lose it's edge quickly also. You will love the weight of this Bayonet! It mounts easily on my AR-15 (when I hunt hogs at close range, it's a nice close range weapon) and the sheath attaches well and sure to my pistol belt, vest, pack, wherever there is an Alice or Molle spot free.You can look at other brands such as Smith and Wesson, SOG, etc.. but the extra cost for hte Ontario is definitely worth it. I have some S&W and SOG knives, and I'd take my one Ontario M9 Bayonet over 1/2 dozen others into the field.Yes, the wire cutter functions perfectly on barbed wire and horse fence, and a small web strap with velco will ensure that it's secure against your leg when hung on a pistol belt. THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY!

this is a very very strong knife is rough, for military use, but can be used as a survival knife, very durable but simple finish, has a very thick blade steel excellent, but difficult to sharpen, which means it is hard to blunt. something heavy.

Combat Bayonet/Knife--One of the best

Rarely do I rate a product 5 stars ,however, the Ontario M9 Bayonet is the real deal. As an Army Vet and die heart hunter I only buy what can survive in the toughest conditions. This bayonet is sharp and extremely durable /applicable as a combat hand to hand knife or a solid bayonet for my Mossberg 590A1 Shotgun or on an AR 15 platform. The sheath with the knife works as a wire cutter if needed. If you've been trained to handle/deploy a bayonet this is certainly a top choice/tool you should consider for your TA Gear.

Stiff can be good

The squasho Pro at Squashgear recommended this racquet to me. The weight (140 g) and the balance (even) were what I had liked in prior squash racquets. The price was also great. However, this frame is very stiff - no whip. The factory stringing was very tight. The combination led to more precision in my shots, but distinctly less power. After a few matches, I had the racquet re-strung with Powernick emerald at 25 lb. The result has been excellent. I now have two of these racquets and may buy more before they get replaced by the next new model. Incidentally, Squashgear sells bumper guards for this racquet at about $10. This inexpensive purchase is a great racquet life extender.

Another gorgeous brunette Birthstone doll!

My daughters collect this line of doll, and we own quite a few of these Birthstone Barbies. Pearl, for the month of June, is one of the loveliest of this line. This caucasian version has the most gorgeous shade of brunette hair ever and blue eyes, and I think her creamy colored lace dress sets off this combination perfectly.Some collector Barbies in this price range have their clothing basted on, but not this line. In fact, these dolls not only have removable dresses, their outfits are actually two pieces: a strappy dress and matching shrug, which is just adorable. Her jewelry is also very cute, and my daughters feel that the jewelry just makes her outfit.My only complaint about this doll is the back of her hair. No matter how careful you are when removing her from the box, the back of this doll's hair will look like a mess when she is deboxed! We fixed ours easily enough with a chic new shag cut, and now she's cuter than ever. But just be aware of this while deboxing these dolls. (Every Birthstone Barbie we've owned has had this problem!)Also, just FYI--the doll is on the Model Muse body, which, while lovely and slim, does not have click-bend mechanisms in the knees. So she is very much a collector doll, and not really suited to play. (She can't bend at the knee.) Just be aware of this if you're buying this doll as a gift.

This purse was a lifesaver!

This purse has been one of the best purchases I've ever made! I have toted my 7.5 pound "Chipin" (Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix) around in this thing, everywhere!!! We are able to take her to the movies, to restaurants, to the mall and grocery store, and no one can tell she is in there! It took her a few weeks to get used to the bag, but now when ever she sees me grab it or hears me getting out my keys she jumps in it...she loves it! It is very spacious, and she has room to move around and get comfortable. Easy to carry and very durable. My favorite thing about this purse is that it doesn't look like a dog purse. This means that I still feel stylish AND that I can take her places in it with no one knowing that she is in there. I also like that the little mesh window/air hole has a flap so you can cover it up if you don't want anyone to see it.I bought this purse a year ago, and am finally retiring it. The fabric is starting to wear and the leather material is starting to peel off. BUT, this is after 12 months of heavy use -- not bad for[...]! I just ordered the replacement bag today, the Metro Chic carrier, also from Fancy Lulu. I'm telling you, Fancy Lulu has THE BEST dog carriers!

Not fully enclosed

I bought this for my chihuahua puppy. It has a zipper on the top but it does not extend the full length of the opening of the purse, which allows him to sneak out! I love that it has the mesh window for him to be able to breathe and see, but the open ends of the zipper, even though there are buttons on the ends, still allows him to get out, a potentially fatal flaw if he were to fall while being carried. This would be a wonderful bag if it had the option to be completely enclosed.

Love the Knife, do not like the fact that they do not sharpen the top front edge from the factory anymore. Yes, you can do it yourself, but all Ka-bars owned in the past had the edge sharpened from factory and have to expect it. Would highly recommend it anyone.

Classic USMC

Cant go wrong with a USMC. I like the beckers a bit more for camping, but this knife has its place. Like when wolves show up in the middle of the night. I was happy i had that knife. I just wish i would have gotten a kraton handled one because my hands tend to sweat a lot which slips on the leather one. Still a classic all around great knife.

Beautiful freshwater pearls!

Is it worth?

The pearl was very round and shiny, but I cannot keep wondering if it was worth $50. It is 6-7mm (small), and the setting is very flimsy probably because the manufacturer wants to save the material. When I look at it, I cannot see how it is too much different from $15 sterling silver earrings. Of course I know it is AAA pearl & white gold, but it does not look different with other cheaper kind.

Solid,Smooth, Highest Quality

I tried a bunch of 3-way heads over the years including the top of the line from Gitzo and Bogen/Manfrotto. This is clearly the best one for me.It is smoother than the largest Gitzo 3-way (5 series)and all the Bogen 3-way heads. The 2-series Gitzo was very smooth and is lighter than this Slik head, but it has a low-load capacity (certainly ok for lighter camera/lens setups).I found it very easy to attach and remove my cameras - there is plenty of clearance and the thumbwheel is comfortable and easy to use (unlike the Gitzo heads). The bubble levels seem accurate and are easyto use.The downside is the weight, but there are always trade-offs. The cost is very reasonable in comparison to the other heads I've referred to and I feel the quality is as high or better than all of time.This head is a totally different breed than the low-cost Slik heads, just as their professional tripods are from their most popular tripods. This head is the best 3-way head I have ever used.
