2012 Tacoma 4X4 DC TRD Sport

Install was pretty straight forward. Best part of this was the price. Got it for a deal at $340 versus $440 now from Amazon with Prime free 2-Day shipping. Took about 2 hours to install with help from a buddy. Like the review before, you really have to lower the spare tire to install the second pipe. The sound at idle is great, its a little growl. Going low speed sounds awesome. You can definitely hear it at highway speed if you don't have your radio up. Has not annoyed me yet. seems to have a little more power but that might be me all hyped up at the sound it makes. Much improvement over stock exhaust.

RECEIVED MY FLOWMASTER IN QUICK TIME,THE BOX WAS NOT DAMAGED,AND ALL PARTS INTACKED,INSTALLED ON A 2006 TACHOMA PRERUNNER,REMOVED SPARE TIRE,REMOVED OLD EXHAUST,AND IN AN HOUR THE NEW WAS ON,EVERYTHING WENT TOGETHER WITH EASE.I DID SPOT WELD ALL SLIP FITTINGS,AND ADDED A DAB OF HEAT PAINT.THANKS AMAZON FOR THT FAST SERVICE,AND A GOOD PRICE,WHEN YOU ARE ON A FIXED INCOME ALL THE DISCOUNTS COMES IN HANDY THANKS AGAIN JESS,STUART FLA !!!

2012 Tacoma Flowmaster dual exhaust

Purchased from Amazon and shipped promptly (as always). I was very impressed with the overall quality and packaging of the product. The package was undamaged as it is very heavy cardboard. When I received it I opened it to be sure all was there before I started the work. All was there plus detailed instructions with number references to the various parts. At this point all was good. One thing turned up in my inspection that ruined the whole job and also my attitude!!! One of the pipe ends was semi crushed in that instead of being round it was oval shaped. To me this was an egregious oversight by Flowmasters QC inspection. This is heavy gauge pipe and it is tough. Fortunately I have a lathe and I had a piece of 2 1/2" round stock scrap and I turned a taper on it and hammered it into the pipe to make it round. The pipe was springy enough such that it would not come out exactly round and fit into the other pipe it was supposed to go into. I had to hammer the outside of the pipe on a mandrel to finally get it to go into the receiving pipe. This whole process took me about 3 extra unnecessary hours on a job that would have taken about 1 1/2hrs total. With this lone exception everything else fit as it should and was fairly easy to install.I wanted to email Flowmaster and tell them about my problem but their "contact us" link would not come up on their website.Anyway the job is now done and looks cool.
