Our old pool pump was going out, so we called a local pool company. They wanted almost double what Amazon had these for. I just looked at the old model number on mine and ordered a new one. Pool company installed and it is quite and moves a lot of water. Shipping was free and took about 2 days, which was really great. Would buy again without hesitation.

The pump, so far, has met all expectations. It is such an improvement over my old 2HP pump, which was not a Pentair. Pool turnover is much faster than before. The pump was easy to install in the existing physical layout, although I had to cut and rearrange some of the existing piping but that was a relatively easy thing to do. The electrical hookup was simple - I trimmed some of the existing wiring and just re-attached. The integral filter with clear cover is such an improvement over my previous pump/filter combination, which did not allow for visual examination without taking the filter body apart. My only regret is that I didn't change out the old pump sooner. The new Pentair is so much more quiet than the old pump/motor. A big plus is that this new pump/motor, because of its efficiency and ability for a much faster pool turnover, does not have to run as frequent or as long as the old one; therefore, I should realize some savings on my electric bill.
