Great Backpack!
By Brandon Best
I was this backpack at REI and instantly knew it was the one for me. I bought it because it is extremely collapsible. I can fit everything I need in it for a week long camping trip and can reduce the size as I use up my supplies simply by pulling the straps. Zippers work extremely well and do not get caught. Construction appears to be great quality.

Excellent lightweight pack. Super adjustable to fit a wide range of body styles. Good basic features without a lot of bells and whistles. Enough capacity for week long trips.

Deuter ACT Lite 65+10 Backpack
By Lonewolf Johnny74
I am a pack addict, owning 6 at the present. When my beloved ALICE became too UN-useable, I needed a pack that filled the need. I came across this by chance @ REI, and was instantly attracted by the sleek design, storage capacity, and the gear attachment points. As an avid hiker wanting to do more backpacking,I asked the sales person some questions, and he showed me the nuts and bolts of the pack, and raved how he had a friend that had one, and loved it. I tried it on,and found the ease of adjustment awesome as I was able to do so all-around rather quickly. From the waist belt,to the harnesses,I then installed a bladder in nothing flat. He let me pack it with stuff to get a feel, and I was SOLD! I gladly plunked down the $$,and left, ecstatic and feeling that I had just found the right pack for my needs.PROS:*Ease of adjustment for proper torso fit;*Sleek design, well crafted of quality materials;(Rip-stop denier nylon)*The capacity (about 3900 cu.");*Gear attachment points!!And all the extra pockets too;*The hollow aluminum stays and internal frame;*Lumbar support, sweet lumbar support! (Back/neck & shoulder issues)*The extra pocket for the bag;(the "+10")No more snags or rips!*And lastly, the AIRCONTACT system, which wicks moisture away- less uncomfortable sweat accumulation!CONS:*The pockets on the waist belt are too small (perfect for a camera or small stuff though);*The bottle pockets- the straps should be lower so you can more easily secure gear;*Empty, the pack itself weighs 5 lbs.But it does a good job as a hauler nonetheless, and is comfortable to Lug your gear on extended trips. I would and do recommend this pack, it is a solid workhorse/investment.Brief note: I would prep it with Camp-dry before taking it for a spin, and have good stuff sacks/liners. I use my ALICE liners.
