Better than Chi, FHI and Rusk

I received a $99 FHI for Christmas. It didn't work well, so I bought a CHI ($150) and Rusk ($100) for a comparison. The CHI won, but I got nervous about the quality over the long term after reading several reviews (most said great iron, but breaks in less than a year!--- ouch!) So, I went to a nearby high-end salon that sells the Forma. WOW. There is an amazing difference between the Forma and the others. Effortless straightening, heats up instantly, and it doesn't snag my hair at all. Great shine, too!

Good iron, be careful traveling

This iron performs well.Note that if you are traveling abroad, especially in Europe, even with a special electric converter, this iron is likely to burn out and die because it overwhelms European outlets.(I had this problem in Paris.)Also, note that the matte coating on parts of the exterior eventually start wearing off and peeling like how a snake's skin peels off. This is a cosmetic issue, but still sort of annoying. You would think the company would just take off the matte coating or find a coating that does not peel over time.

Died early!!

The product did a great job while it worked but only worked for 5 different times, then it died on me.I was able to get a hold of somebody from the company that makes this hair iron, they asked me to send it in to some place and a couple of weeks later I received a new one.This was probably part of the limited time warranty that the Forma hair iron comes with but nonetheless I'm very pleased with my new hair iron.It works superb and does a fantastic job straightening hair.
