5 PACK of Professional Series Noise Free Mic Cables. They have a thick, high quality, flexible rubber jacket. They are heavy duty Noise Free "True Balanced LO-Z" and have 3 pin XLR connectors on each end. These cables have dual insulated copper conductors plus they are shielded. They are hand wired & hand soldered and have high quality metal ends. They have a double strain relief on each end (internal Tri-GripTM and external rubber booty). As you can see in the above picture, the female locking end has a rubber grommet. This allows the cable to snap into place without being loose and sloppy like most other cables you may find.

Great value for 50-ft cables

The GLS cables are certainly not Mogami quality, but that's not what you are paying for. The XLR plugs and jacks are good (not Neutrik, but still very solid and durable), and I've never had issue with the solders. Cable casing is soft to the touch, not sticky and easy to coil, probably of medium strength. Can't comment on the oxygen-free copper braiding blah blah blah... Cables provide good low noise transmission of mic and line-level signals, and this bundle in particular is a great deal for weekend warriors like myself.

They're fine, except for one fixable problem.

For the price, I would have given them 5 stars - EXCEPT one of the cables didn't work at all. I needed 4 decent-quality cables right away for a low-use installation. The working cables in this set are virtually noise-free, and the plugs/stress relief are fine for what I had in mind. I installed them. Then I went back to Amazon to try to exchange the non-working cable for a working one. Since these came from another seller, I found that this can't be done. I would have to send ALL of the cables back for a refund. I really don't want to spend 2-3 hours pulling down the cables already installed - and the re-install new ones. Fortunately the ends of these cables are easily removed (just screw off the stress relief and pull the plug out from the housing) I spotted the bad solder on the hot, and after a couple seconds with the soldering iron we were back in business. With some inexpensive cables you can't fix them at all, so that's a plus for these. I'm just a bit irked that a brand-new cable didn't work right out of the box.
