Very well built, as solid as many gym units.

It was a pleasant surprise how rugged this back extension unit is. While the anklecushions cannot be adjusted, they provide good support and do not hyper extend one'sknees, an uncomfortable feature of more expensive gym units. The materials were ofdecent quality (mild steel) and should hold up "forever" for home use. Overall anexcellent buy even including the $40 for shipping.

Great piece of equipment

Based on some of the other reviews, I purchased this hyper extension chair, and I was not disappointed. It is a wonderful, sturdy, piece of equipment for the price. I would gladly recommend it. The pads for the hips are quite firm, a little too firm perhaps, but they are softening up a bit the more I use it. Overall, I doubt you can do better for the price, and, quite frankly, even if you spent more. I am VERY pleased with it. It was also delivered promptly.
