Great light for reading / desk work

This s is a nice, bright Halogen lamp with a very bright light. The style is simple and has a flexible goose-neck spine for easy adjustment. The on/off switch for the lamp is on the cord.. and is actually a two-step switch. The first click gives you a medium-brightness light, and the second click gives you the full-brightness light. It has a sturdy base. Halogen bulbs do get hot, so keep this in mind if using in a kid's room.

This is a well designed lamp with sturdy all-metal construction. The base is properly weighted for stability, yet does not occupy a lot of desk area. The switch is located on the power cord, and has 3 positions: Off, Dim and Bright. Minor assembly is required: The base attaches with a screw (provided) and a short cylindrical lever screws into the bulb assembly so the user can adjust the lamp position without touching the housing (which can get quite hot).I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this product.

This lamp works beautifully when placed behind a large all-in-one desktop computer so that it's goose-neck top bends out over the top of the screen, lighting the area right in front of your computer. It almost looks like your computer comes with built in lamp. The switch for the lamp is located in the cord so it can be placed out front of the screen. It is easy to position the lamp head with a small handle so the light doesn't go into your eyes or wash out the screen. And the lamp has a normal and extra bright switch. It works just the way I wanted. (I posted a photo up with the product photo.)
