Beautiful but grainy prints

I first purchased these plates from a department store so I knew the quality of them prior to my purchase from Amazon. They are beautiful. However, I should warn people who have not seen them in real life that the flower prints on the plate appear grainy (for lack of a better word). Like they were printed by a dot matrix printer rather than painted on which would give you smoother lines.

The china was in perfect condition upon arrival with the exception of one cup that had a broken handle. It was replaced and the replacement cup arrived in perfect condition and was packed so no breakage could occur during shipment. A bonus was that the replacement was sent out the day I texted about the damage. Very pleased with Amazons services.
