good not great

Purchased this at a local store, it was a floor model so ended up about the same price. The metal is a little "tinny", but then again this is not a safe it is a cabinet with a lock. Will work good for keeping the grandkids out of harms way. Being a floor model the lock was messed up and was really hard to operate. I put some silicon in the locking mechanisms and they work good now, sure they will only get better with use. The shelfs were easy to assemble, 4 bolts on each one. Only problem with it is if you want the shelfs in a different location you would have to drill four holes. You might want to do this for the top 2 shelves as they seem to be pretty close together. I like that the top is pre-drilled for the add on pistol/ammo box.

Does what it says on the tin.

This is not a safe - it's a cabinet, so think along the lines of locker material.Great for keeping curious hands off the guns and other valuables, but not too much defense against a determined thief.Easy to set up, can be bolted to a wall or floor; fits easily into a closet.A little heavier in reality than originally posted; I think it was listed at 117 pounds, but it actually closer to 150 - which might be issue if you have get this up a flight a stairs.Top shelves are good for boxed ammo or magazines, remaining two can easily hold bulkier items.Not really sure if this truly a 10 gun capacity as I have 6 in there now and the fit is a little tight.All in all, perfect for safety concerns at home for those of you with small children running around.

useful to keep guns away from kids. not theft proof since it is relatively light and made of thin metal.
