Excellent Fence Charger

Purchased this charger for a 10 acre horse pasture. Mounted under a 5 gallon bucket on a 4x4 post. very strong current, tops the tester light and I watch the deer get zapped from time to time. The horses are a little smarter.Have bought Zareba in the past but they are getting overpriced.

Fi-Shock SS-2000X Fence Charger

Product seems to function as advertised but it should have been made clearer that this unit is not water tight and cannot be mounted out in the weather. The 12 volt power and small size lead me to believe it was water tight and outside mountable. I used a plastic bucket with a lid to mount both the charger and a small 12 volt battery in. I had to mount the charger upside down in the bucket for easy access to the output terminals and to see the activity indicator. The mounting system had to be modified to allow upside mounting but all seems to be working perfectly. Just a few minor modifications to the mounting options and a water tight enclosure would make the SS-2000X fence charger an outstanding device.
