Absolutely Worth the Price!!!!

I bought each of these products separately when my daughter was nearly two years old. Now that she's five, the toys have lost most of their "educational" value (she's had her colors, shapes, and "counting to 10" down cold for ages now!), but not a week goes by when she hasn't played with all three toys!!We keep these toys in her play kitchen - the ice cream in the freezer, the cupcakes in the oven, and the cookie jar on the shelf. Whenever we host a playdate, the children always gravitate towards these colorful and realistic toys. Our 8-year-old neighbor even plays with them!And talk about durable! After three years of nearly constant use and abuse, not a single piece has a dent or scratch on it! My mother-in-law bought some play food from this company when her first granddaughter was a little girl. 20 years and 5 grandkids later, the pieces are still in great shape. My daughter plays with them when she visits, and soon the first great-grandchild will be old enough to start playing with them. These aren't toys that will ever wind up in the trash. If you don't keep them, you'll wind up passing them along or donating them so another child can enjoy them.In a market where so many toys just don't live up to their hype, it's wonderful to find a product that actually exceeds expectations. These are simple, basic toys that spark imagination and creative play. I highly recommend them for any young child.

First off, I purchased this toy for my 2-year-old, because its educational, durable, and fun (can't get much better than counting candy!)... receiving it, I still think the same...However, I purchased the Learning Resources "Amazon Exclusive", thinking what a great deal it was! 3 sets in 1! how easy is that? It was only after I purchased it did I realize that I could have saved $5.88 if I had purchased all 3 sets seperately ($13.99x3)... Just a little disappointed, because Amazon usually has the best deals!I highly recommend all 3 sets; however, purchase seperately!

I bought these for my kids a couple of years ago and my only complaint was the "plastic" smell that they had when we opened the package. Other than that, we have loved this set. It helped teach my boys their colors and their numbers. One the one side of the cookie, it has the number "1" and then on the other side, it has one little "M&M", so on and so forth with the rest up to 10. The ice cream tops have the color written on the inside so you can see the color and read the word. The cupcakes are cute too You cannot put the incorrect cupcake head (which is noted by a specifically shaped sprinkle) with the incorrect cupcake wrapper as the head has a shape that matches the correct wrapper. These are super cute, very very very durable, and a lot of fun to play with. We get compliments on them all the time. If you are looking for play food for your kids, Learning Resources has the best plastic products out there. Melissa and Doug have the best wooden, and I made my kids soft fabric play food too.
